I would say that it was the same murderer as the first victim.

Has to be the same killer, too much of a coincidence. Some connection but far from clear what this would be. I did wonder if she was possibly one of Deanna’s cases.

This can't be a co-incidence but more information needed. I feel that Angela Marsons excels at the 'hook' to draw the reader in.

Like Andrew (>4 Andrew-theQM:), the only thing I can think of which would link the two victims would be if Maxine was formerly in the care system.

Agree with Andrew snd Sergei. The only connection I can think of at this time is that Maxine was one of Deanna’s cases.
