Alex manipulated Katie to get hold of a phone, are people that easy to manipulate, or does Alex have a special talent? What are your thoughts about Alex?

I think Alex has a certain persuasive personality.

She's adept at figuring out what people need and then using it for her own plans.

She is very good at knowing the psychology to use to manipulate people as we’ve seen in this book and the second book in the series. Not the ideal skill for sociopath to have. 🫣😱

She seems to have the ability to see deeply into people, winkling out their weaknesses which she can then use to her own advantage.

Her background as a psychiatrist has given her unfortunate power as a sociopath. But to answer the question >1 Andrew-theQM: Yes, I think people are that easy to manipulate. And for this reason I think Alex should be in a secure facility, OR, failing that, a warning given to everyone working with her not to believe/listen to a word she says.
Preferably, lock her up and throw away the key…
