Did you think the case was connected to family members before it was mentioned? Did this help your thinking at all?

I started to suspect when they were talking Tommy's grandmother. There had to be a reason for someone to kill a little boy. When she mentioned how devoted her husband was to Tommy, something clicked.

I’ve always thought it was family related as I could not see any job related anywhere.

I hadn’t linked it to family members at this stage. The connection to a judge made me think it was linked to a social care case, but Kim’s theory made more sense. Now could this be linked to the Dear Diary section, was the abductor caught but let off by the court and the other family members were involved in this case in some way. Was the abductee killed therefore a family member was taking revenge on the family of those involved for letting the abductor off. Most probably very wide of the mark but the only theory I can come up with at this time.

No I didn’t see anything pointing to family. I thought it was a Children’s Services link.

I did not see this connection coming at all. Full marks to Kim for her insights.
