Why would the Hospitallers be gathering the writings and possessions of Mussolini? Any initial thoughts?

I would say based upon the information so far Mussolini has a connection to the Nostra Trinita, probably it's location.

I suppose the Hospitallers were looking for the Nostra Trinita.

Did Mussolini have the Nostra Trinita, so gathering his things to get possession of it.

My guess is because they wanted to secure their hold on Mussolini's writings, perhaps to keep them safe or to serve their own ends.
