What were your thoughts about Spagna when suddenly he was working with Laura and Luke? How did he know what was going on with Cotton?

Spagna's loyalty is to his Church and it's protection, Laura's side as she states is her own and Spagna's communications with Stephanie gives him knowledge of Cotton.

Spagna told Laura and Luke that sometimes an actor has to play, in a single room, what the script describes as forty rooms. He must make the audience believe all forty exist. To do that he must change reality. That’s what a good spy does, too. Spagna now has changed his reality and is working with Luke and Laura. He had been talking with Stephanie and that’s how he knew what Cotton was doing.

I don't know whether or not he's changed his mind. It seems a bit odd that he's working both sides. I think Spagna is probably the one who wants to be Pope

Spagna is a chameleon. He will do whatever he needs to further his plans.

I have to again, agree with all that has been said.
