Why do you think the Secreti have re-appeared now?

Based upon revealed information at this time their appearance is to keep the Knights and the Church conservative in dogma and mission. To do this they must discover the Nostra Trinita and destroy it.

I think the Secreti showed up in order to destroy the Nostra Trinita.

To either destroy the Nostra Trinita or potentially use it to their advantage.

I think they want to get it back so they have leverage against the Catholic Church. (Unless they are a spy group within the order that are working for Vatican—in which case they would want to destroy it). I’m leaning toward the former, but with all the intrigue, it’s possible they are siding with the Catholic Church.
