Do you see what the significance of the Nostra Trinita is? Why is it important that they find it before Cardinal Gallo? How would it help his case to be Pope?
2JohnDBurke
It is a danger to the power of the Church and Cardinal Gallo would be a hero if he acquired it and brought it to Rome to keep it form becoming public knowledge enhancing his chances in the Papal Ballot.

Yes I do see the significance of the Nostra Trinita within the power of the Church. If Cardinal Gallo finds it first the Church would definitely make him Pope as it is of value unbelievable to the Church.

I'm sure >2 JohnDBurke: and >3 EadieB: are correct but I'm getting bored with the constant monotony of the explanation. The Catholic Church has such a bad reputation now, it's hard to see what makes this "extra" bad.

I agree with Eadie and John.
>4 Olivermagnus: it’s possible the document, if known to the public, will weaken or remove some or all of the Church’s power. Just as the Lateran Treaty gave sovereignty to the Holy See, this document may remove power.

It’s just a tug-of-war, presumably winner takes all. I don’t know what leverage the documents give Kastor.

I do see the significance of the Nostra Trinita, and I think they want to make sure Kastor Gallo does not become Pope. Therefore "our" guys are hunting for it most assiduously.
