Were you surprised Cotton just left when they found the three documents? What did you think would happen having found the documents?

Cotton just left in order for them to sort things out.

I was surprised but his reasoning made sense. It just didn't make for Cotton, the character, to just walk away.

He really had no choice. There was no good reason for him to be there and he couldn’t bully his way into staying. They allowed him to join them as long as they did because he was useful.

Although I was not at all surprised to see him snooping around after he left.

That did seem a tad out of character, but we knew he wasn’t finished with it.
