Was leaving Hahn alive and behind Gallo’s mistake? Would he have got away with it all if not?

If he had killed Hahn he wouldn't have had anyone to bury the bodies. He had no way of knowing Cotton and Luke were on to him so it made sense for him to trust long time friend, Hahn.

I can’t help thinking he might actually have got away with it if he’d left no loose ends. How often would that underground chamber with the guva be visited? Not often, is my guess.
But even if he’d made it to Pope, I don’t think he’d have lasted all that long. His shenanigans would have been curtailed by someone, he’d have been one of those Pope’s who died young, under mysterious circumstances…

Hahn was needed to cover-up the other murders. If and when the exposed bodies were discovered in the guva, authorities would most certainly have discovered Gallo’s body-putting Pollux at high risk. However, I suspect Hahn would have been killed by Pollux as soon as he could figure out a safe way to do it.
I like >3 Sergeirocks:’s idea that he wouldn’t have lasted long as Pope. He’d get what he deserved.

I think Hahn was trustworthy for Pollux to leave behind and clean up his mess. Probably was not the only time Pollux had to trust Hahn. That said, I could see a future where Hahn would turn against Pollux as Pope, and Pollux would eventually have to kill Hahn to maintain the charade.
