My final rating is 3.5. The good sections (5&6) couldn't balance out the bad. I also missed Cassiopeia. Luke is okay but irritatng.

I've had a grandkid all week so was very hit and miss here. I know why God gave kids to the young:) I've done a different type of reading this week. I've read a about a talking cactus that needed a hug enough times that I can recite the entire book by memory, and she has brought me a book about an alligator named Chez Bob. Can't hardly wait to read these one 5 or 10 times:) I did manage to finish the "adult" book and gave it a 3 which probably wasn't a really fair rating...I found there was WAY too many characters and things going on...maybe I just had too much going on.

Just because I struggled to get through it at times - it wasn’t what I’d call a page-turner - I’m giving it 3.75★s.
It wasn’t a bad book, just a bit too long.

4 stars. As others have said, the beginning and middle were slow. I felt like a kid on a long road trip. ‘Are we there yet. Are we there yet. ARE WE THERE YET’. It was great once the action got going.

This one was a really hard one to rate. Overall enjoyed the book, but a bit too bitty in the first half with too many strands and felt slow progress through the book. I like Sergei’s 3.75 which seems a fair rating, but I’m going to round up to 4, as it was better than a 3.5 book.

I am going to give it a 3. I found that it was just too disjointed and read more like a travelogue than an international conspiracy mystery. I wish he would have stayed with either the Churchill-Mussolini letter or with the Knights of Malta/Pope Enclave storyline.
Glad you're enjoying some literature you can recite, Carol!
