Novelist John Barth died April 2 at the age of 93. His best known books include The Sot-Weed Factor and Lost in the Funhouse.

Lynne Reid Banks, author of books for adults, children and teenagers (fiction and non fiction) has died aged 94. Her many books included The L Shaped Room and two sequels.

I've just discovered that she was actively running a FB page/website and blogging for the last few years of her life, and appears to have published a new children's book last year.

Christopher John Sansom, who published 9 novels as C J Sansom, died on 27 April aged 71. His books include the 7 book Shardlake series set in Tudor England, starting with Dissolution, Winter in Madrid set during the Spanish Civil War, and an alternate history novel Dominion, set in Britain after a German/Nazi victory in the Second World War.

Better duplication than to miss someone altogether. I think it's easy to miss names when scrolling. There's also an option to search the names on a thread to see if someone's mentioned already there.

Kage Baker's sister and collaborator Kathleen Bartholomew (-2) died April 21. Bartholomew completed Baker's second Nell Gwynne novel On land and at sea and wrote the story Pareidolia from Kage's notes.
