Hello!
I'm trying to find sport memoirs that fit with an adult reader collection theme of JEDI (justice, equity, diversity and inclusion). There are plenty of memoirs out there, but for some reason I'm struggling with finding ones that might tempt readers to try the genre out.
Any suggestions would be great!

Perhaps:
Triumph: The Untold Story of Jesse Owens by Jeremy Schaap
Clemente: The Passion and Grace of Baseball's Last Hero by David Maraniss
Wonder Girl: The Magnificent Sporting Life of Babe Didrikson Zaharias by Don Van Natta Jr.

>3 lilithcat: I'm okay with them being either memoirs or biographies; I had originally thought that reading from the athlete's point of view might be more engaging for new readers, but honestly I'm open to all suggestions at this point. :)

Thanks for adding that!
I think this one would be spot on: A most beautiful thing : the true story of the first all-black high school rowing team, by Arshay Cooper
Also Can't nothing bring me down : chasing myself in the race against time , by Ida Keeling

I really liked Maiden voyage by Tania Aebi.

One Life (soccer) by Megan Rapinoe should definitely meet your criteria.
Man in the Middle (basketball) and The David Kopay Story (American football) should, too.
Life is Short and So Am I (wrestling)
Days of Grace (tennis)

These are biographies:
The Idealist: Jack Trice and the Battle for a Forgotten Football Legacy by Jonathan Gelber and Seneca Wallace definitely fits with the themes.
Path Lit by Lightning: The Life of Jim Thorpe by David Maraniss would fit, as well.

I can recommend Straight Up by rugby and sevens player Ruby Tui, it's been extremely popular in New Zealand.

A Long Way Up, by E.G.Valens (sorry, Touchstones don't seem to work for this one). The story about Jill Kinmont, an alpine race skier who suffered a near fatal accident whilst competing in the giant slalom in the Snow Cup at Alta, UT.

Touchstones don't work for that title because it's catalogued under the title The Other Side of the Mountain.

>15 lilithcat: Interesting. My copy is definitely 'A Long Way Up'. Will have to check to see if it's a non-US edition.
Edit: mine is a 1966 Harper & Row edition, signed by Jill Kinmont. The cover I am using is my own copy!
