Our patrons are asking me if there's any way to reduce the number of emails they get when checking out books. Right now, it sends a separate email for every book - is there a way they can get a condensed email? I will have patrons who check out 20-30 books at a time, and they are very frustrated. One patron asked me to remove her email address completely, which I did but I am sad she won't get any of the automatic reminder emails!

I hear you! Sorry for the frustration. Unfortunately, we don't yet have a daily activity summary email for patrons (which would replace the individual emails for each checkout/lending transaction), but it is on our slate. We'll be sure to post any updates on this feature.
In the meantime, your patrons should be able to create an email filter in their inbox, by the subject line and sender (noreply@librarything.com), to filter/archive certain emails that they want to file away or ignore. I hope this helps.
Please let me know if there's anything else I can do in the meantime, thanks for your patience.

Just curious if the individual email issues per book for the patrons got fixed? We are working on getting our library live with Library Thing and Tiny Cat and noticed that it was sending one email per book checked out. Is there a way to change that so they only get one email with all the books checked out?

>3 WOC1211: Hi thanks for checking in about this! We haven't made this change yet but we're still planning to make some updates to email notification options in the future. Unfortunately, some other high priority issues arose this year, so this had to wait—but we haven't forgotten. We will certainly announce it when it happens! I think Kristi's note above is a useful one if any patrons are bothered by one type of email but want another type of email. If any patrons need help making an email filter, I'm happy to help. You can send them to tinycat@librarything.com if need be.
Lots of nice improvements on the horizon I'm eager to roll out. Thanks for your patience in the meantime!

This is still the biggest complaint I get from my patrons! Looking forward to this update.

Just adding my vote here. This issue makes the reminders and overdue notices basically useless. I'd love for it to be workable, but for now I'm not willing to use the reminders and overdue notices because it is more harm than help.

Thank you! I can't wait for us to make this improvement. Thanks for being patient and adding your voices—it all helps us gauge interest and urgency!
