Delimma on subscription or not

Hi.

I just contacted LOA and they said the subscription doesn't allow for the option to get a copy of the dustjacket. Personally I think the dustjacket is somewhat iconic for this series, so I'm torn between the ease of getting the subscription vs. buying the titles individually. I'm assuming the individual titles on their website come with the dustjacket.

Do people normally prefer the slipcases over the dustjackets? I never even knew they came in slipcases until I looked on the website.

>1 Luke.w: Last time I checked, you can buy the dust jackets from them ($2 per a few years back). You can opt for them with the subscription but if you want them, you may want to verify that this is still the case and then just buy them later.

I like the slipcases - they look nice on the shelves and I like the colors of the books more than the black dust jackets.

I use both the slipcases and dust jackets and they work well in combination. I paid the $2 per jacket for books received by subscription and whatever it is for slipcases to house books bought with jackets. I have several extra regular slipcases from buying box set slipcases for $6 to rehouse those volumes.

I received my subscription volumes before I ever saw the black dust jackets, and prefer the slipcases. It comes down to the look you prefer.

Welcome, regardless! I think you can save some $$$ with the subscription, but maybe not if you pay extra for the slipcases.
