I noticed this group has been dormant, so here's a bid to revive it. I've been reading fiction from Singapore and Malaysia this year, and have put together a short list for myself. Since I am not as active as most on LT, I can't say for certain why this thread has been dormant, but I suspect that it may be that it has been superseded by the Reading Globally threads for Asia. Been learning Malay since its my boyfriend's native language, maybe once my reading skills in Malay are developed well enough I'll have to read some of these _in_ Malay (where Malay was the book's original language anyways, which appears to only be applicable to a handful of these books maybe?)
