May Goals and Progress

Sorry for posting the May thread so late. I've been distracted this week, dealing with my mom's health issues. Things are under control again so I can get back to reading and posting about books!

Please tell us about your May plans here.

Fortunately, I'm caught up with my BookCrossing roundabout books so there is nothing urgent on my stacks. The 2024 Hugo and Aurora SFF award nominees have just been announced, so I'll be devoted the next couple of months to reading many of those.

However, I have accumulated a large number of books from post-pandemic shopping sprees at used book stores and charity book sales in the last couple of years, so I still need to read and release those.

>1 mathgirl40: Sorry to hear about your Mom but glad she's doing better. And you're not really late; it's only May 1.

I'm probably not going to get as many TBR books read this month. We're going away for almost all of June and I have a lot of library books to finish up before we leave. So I'm only going to attempt for 2 from the TBR pile this month. The good news is that, providing I can fit 6 books in my luggage, I can probably read that many while we're away.

I have read 2 TBR books but I don't expect to get to any more before the end of the month.
