I want a database of my cookbooks. What is the best way to do it? Needs recipe name, list book and page number, and some descriptive terms, maybe ingredients as searchable terms (say I am looking to make something with peanut butter or chicken) How would I go about that? I know it'll be time consuming as I have 39 cookbooks
Is there a program set up for that?

https://www.eatyourbooks.com/ is what you want. Unless you want a homegrown system.
Alternatively, you could use something like https://www.paprikaapp.com/ if you want access to recipes themselves from multiple devices.

I've used Copy Me That for years. Super easy to use. The name references the fact that the site also makes it easy to clip (there's a Google app) & save recipes from other web sites, but I mainly use it for my very large cookbook/recipe collection.

I use Microsoft's OneNote, which can also be used for pasting in entire recipes.
I use one page per recipe.
The text search works well, with no need for a formal database structure.
I use it mainly for finding combinations of ingredients, but also for book titles and recipe authors.
It works on multiple devices, so you can type in on a PC, then access details on a phone in the kitchen.
