>1 lauradlm21: To add to what >2 SandraArdnas: says, although LibraryThing has its own Spanish site (https://www.librarything.es/)—which is where you'll always do your cataloging and editing of records for your TinyCat library—TinyCat does not yet have non-English translations available. Your book data should still show up in Spanish or any other language, as needed, but the TinyCat-specific interface will be in English. I'm sorry for any inconvenience here. (That said, localization of TinyCat is high on our list and we'll be sure to announce any changes on this front!)

Please let me know if you have any other questions here.

Hi, I am happy with the English interface of both LT and TinyCat. However, my library is offering books in Russian and when I input book titles in Cyrillic the words do not display correctly – there are large, random gaps between the letters. Any solution to that? There is an example here: https://www.librarycat.org/lib/RussianBooks/search/text/%D0%BC%D0%B0%D1%80%D1%88...

I will be happy to help translation for Turkish/Türkçe. OPAC side should be in other languages too.

I'd also be happy to help to translate it to brazilian portuguese as having the OPAC available to patrons in their native language would be preferred.

Thank you for these offers! We might reach out about this when we (hopefully) look into this further, though it won't be anytime soon unfortunately. TinyCat is built in a different way from LibraryThing, which would make creating multi-language versions of the site a HUGE technical project. It is certainly on our radar, but it is hard to say when we will be able to start investing in the idea. It might coincide with some kind of future, larger rewrite of TinyCat. Thanks again for these generous offers!

Good news: Tim was able to add languages to TinyCat, so you can now display your library to patrons in Spanish, French, Russian, Turkish, Portuguese and 40 more languages. Read more about it in this Talk post: https://www.librarything.com/topic/378350.

Here's the settings page for adding language options for your patrons, including custom Welcome Messages for each language: https://www.librarycat.org/admin/settings/languages.
