Hello,
I'm looking at this page:
https://www.librarything.com/work/23840124/workdetails/268620838
It lists LCC (Library of Congress Classification or "LC Classification") codes of:
QA76.O63 K49
QA76.76 .O63 K49
The controlling document here is https://www.loc.gov/aba/publications/FreeLCC/LCC_Q2024TEXT.pdf . The first is obviously wrong. O63 won't ever follow QA76.
Page 20 of that PDF lists QA76.76.O63 and points to a new classification. I don't know why the existing source added a space to it. I believe the correct classification should be QA76.774.U64 K49 as per page 21 of that PDF.
I went to the "Edit your book" page, changed the field, and saved my change. Yet that corrected classification doesn't show up anywhere. Not on my "main page" (which lists the impossible QA76.O63) at https://www.librarything.com/work/23840124/summary/268620838 , not on the "Book details"... Nowhere except going back into "Edit your book".
How can I get my edit to stick (at least for my own book)?
