Recently discovered a book of mine is listed as part of a series — with only one book in it. This book, Parker on the Iroquois, is a nonfiction book first published in the 60s by a deceased author — a sequel isn't right around the corner, is what I'm saying.
I've linked the series below — I'm not sure how to deconstruct/remove a series, or if I even should in this instance? I tagged it as "Needs Help," although I'm not sure what that does, if anything. To me the title (New York State Studies) seems to imply that it was used as some kind of subject heading/organization; maybe the person who made it didn't realize this affects the work sitewide and not their specific book.

I leave this for the hands of more experienced LTers.

It is quite possible. This is apparently a series issued by the Syracuse University Press. The fact that there is only one book showing in the series here may simply reflect the fact that no member has catalogued any of the other series titles (or, if they have, they have not connected the title/s to the series page).

>2 lilithcat: Thank you! I hadn't found this. Based on this info, should this not be a publisher's series, then?

For reference, https://press.syr.edu/browse-by-series/ gives a list of series by this publisher. This particular book is listed only as part of The Iroquois and Their Neighbors series. https://press.syr.edu/supressbook-series/the-iroquois-and-their-neighbors/
There are other books from it catalogued, so perhaps we should change the series name and add them too? It seems like a regular series to me, as in not published by anyone else
