Group Read: September and October 2024: Nominations

Please nominate up to two books you would like to see as our group reads for September and October, and second as many nominated books as you like. I’ll close nominations in about a week.

I nominate Night Boat to Tangier, one of the books added in the last 1001 edition. Puckers, you need to nominate something!

I've got a few V author books coming up - Under the Yoke (Vazov), The House by the Medlar Tree (Verga), The Birds (Vesaas), Memoirs of a Peasant Boy (Vilas), In Sicily (Vittorini) and In Search of Klingsor (Volpi) - do any of these appeal?

I have Vittorini’s book Conversations in Sicily on my TBR shelf so I’ll go for that!

I know they're both long but I'm currently reading both War and Peace and Romance of the Three Kingdoms right now so I'll nominate those if anyone cares to read them as well.

There are two seconded books Night Boat to Tangier by Kevin Barry and Conversations in Sicily by Elio Vittorini. These will be our group reads for September and October respectively.
