I'm home for lunch and since I will be in and out for the next week or so, I went ahead and read the book. For a non-negotiable price I will tell you who the killer is and for a bit more...how the story ends:) No credit cards or checks...just cold, hard, American cash. The Brits in the group, will have to make the exchange to U.S. dollars. I wouldn't know how much a "pound" is if it bit me:)
9EadieB
>7 Carol420: In my book, a pound is 16 ounces!

>9 EadieB: Yours and mine too, Eadie:)

>10 Carol420: When I went to London a long time ago I made John handle all the money as I couldn’t deal with the pounds etc.
12Carol420
>11 EadieB: John is a smart man if he can figure all that out. I imagine our system is as confusing to them as theirs is to us.
13EadieB
>12 Carol420: They seem to have a bunch of different bills with 2 or 3 different names for the same bill. Crazy stuff! Pound = Quid I think I understand some of the money better now as I am reading more now than at the time. A Bob = shilling other terms: Smacker, Fiver for the £5 note, Tenner for the £10 note, and Dosh. If you want to speak Cockney you can say: pony' which is £25, a 'ton' is £100 and a 'monkey', which equals £500. You can have a rack or £1,000 or a 4 bag which is £4,000.

Hey guys! Whats this about?
16bluebird_
Sorry to have missed the GR. I tried several times to read this, but I am still doing mostly audiobooks and Davina Porter kept putting me to sleep. Most love her narration…but she’s the perfect sleep aide for me. I’m slowly able to read more text, so hope to get to it sometime soon. Or perhaps I will just pay >7 Carol420:!

>16 bluebird_: You should use bookfinder.com to purchase your book as it will give you the cheapest version. Usually don’t pay more that $4.00 or $5.00 and most of that is probably used for postage.

>7 Carol420: I'll accept cold hard cash.

>13 EadieB: You know more of these than I do! 😃
21EadieB
>20 Sergeirocks: Didn’t really know them - just did research!

Hi everyone! Finally made it back and catching up on the comments before I dive back into Section 4. Seems like a lot of lively discussion about this book.
