Have recently read:
The Dark Wives by Ann Cleeves
Just Another Missing Person by Gillian McAllister
The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave
The Midnight Feast by Lucy Foley
The Birdwatcher by William Shaw
The Skeleton Army (The Oxford Mysteries Book 2) by Alis Hawkins
All 3 to 3.5 stars, so a little disappointing - particularly the Ann Cleeves...
Have just started The China Governess by Margery Allingham.

I've just finished The Theft of the Iron Dogs by E.C.R. Lorac. Thoroughly enjoyable as she writes from a world view that sees most people as being honest and good. This one was published in 1946 so reflects the austerity of the English population at that time. I'm so glad that the British Library Crime Classics series has been bringing this author's work back into print.

>3 jillmwo: I agree. I have enjoyed several of her books and was particularly keen on her wartime storyMurder by Matchlight

Now reading Breaking the dark by Lisa Jewell, which isn't crime so much as mystery, plus some weird superhero shit (protagonist is Jessica Jones, from the Marvel universe). Started in New York City, then in parts of England. So far, have learned not to buy unlicensed skin cream.

I must have missed this one sometime over the years, as I've been reading Deborah Crombie's Duncan Kincaid series for a long time. Though out of sequence, I quite enjoyed All Shall Be Well.

Finished The Wild Swimmers the latest by William Shaw which I enjoyed very much and now starting The Man In Black And Other Stories which is a collection of short stories by Elly Griffiths which mixes old and new characters & even a little bit more Ruth and Nelson, happy days!
