Like from school Home Ec programs or something else? Do you have an example?

I don't remember what we cooked from in Home Economics back in High School. I remember learning to make a white sauce though. Also a guest speaker taught us how to make burritos (which were actually more like fajitas, but back then we didn't know all the authentic names for Mexican food).

I have some pamphlets put out by the government during WWII for housewives, learning how to make the most of their rations and eat healthy. Stuff like that. All saved by my grandmother. The Home Department used to give courses on Breadmaking, sewing, etc. during WWII. Once a month she attended them.

Also: University of California in Berkeley, CA on Home Canning, March 1924
U.S. Department of Agriculture Farmers' Bulletin No. 1474 Stain Removal from Fabrics, 1930
U.S. Department of Agriculture, Preservation of Vegetables by Salting or Brining, 1943
U.S. Department of Agriculture, Farmers' Bulletin No. 1438, Making Fermented Pickles, 1924
California Agricultural Extension Service Circular 2 July, 1926 Home Preparation of Jelly and Marmalade
California Agricultural Extension Service Circular 37, Oct. 1929 Home and Farm Preparation of Pickles.

I asked because I have copies of the book I cooked out of for HomeEc. I also have one copy of the book my mother used to teach HomeEc before I was born. Mom also has a bunch "favorites from HomeEc teachers" spiral bound cookbook. Those are a ton of fun because I know some of the people that submitted recipes or I recognize the recipes from my childhood.
