Sharing/Exporting Charts & Graphs — Is There a Better Way?

I'm trying to 'export' some information about my library right now, as a sort of 'snapshot in time.' Exporting the books themselves was easy enough, (although I have to admit, I really would have liked a true backup that would import back into LT with all data attached,) but I wanted some of the analysis from Charts & Graphs to go with it. From what I can tell (and I did ask about this earlier), there is no way to generate a point that you can 'freeze in time' or 'rewind' to, in order to view the chart & graphs data from your library at a certain point in the past, so I decided to just try to 'export' that data.

This proved to be... an extreme challenge. There wasn't a straightforward 'export' button that I found, nor a print format like there is for 'Your books,' so I tried my browser's print button to get a pdf of some information. Some things were legible, but others were far from it. Some charts were missing graphic elements, some information was replaced with names of hyperlinks, and the links that normally display at the top of the page — links to 'Talk,' 'Add Books,' etc. — ran over information in the body of the page.

Then, I thought I would use the 'share' buttons to generate images. This was better, in most respects. First, I had to turn off private library to generate those images, which I thought was a little weird, but wasn't a huge obstacle. Using 'share' on any individual page still did not generate a useable image — just an image of the login page. However, for most Charts & Graphs, I could get an image. I say most, because some data, like tag mirror or individual Dewey classes, did not have its own 'share' button, whereas other data, like the radial chart of genres, cut off important data in the image generated. Furthermore, the images that were generated weren't just of the graphs & charts, with associated things like data keys and titles, but were of the whole LT website — which made the important bits a lot smaller and more difficult to discern.

Am I missing some totally obvious 'export' and/or 'print' function in C&G? Am I approaching this totally wrong? Has anyone else tried & come up with a better way to get this information out of LT?

If the browser's print option doesn't display things the way you want, you could use your computers screenshot tool to save the pictures that way.

This looks like a bug to me.

I'm less certain about the need to turn off private library, but even if it s a feature not a bug, it makes no sense. You can print out your catalogue, right? No reason for charts to behave differently

Using screenshots is probably the best way.
