This is a cooperative challenge. It's not really a team challenge, but you kind of have to work together to reach the end goal. There are two themes: pirates and cowboys. Which team do you want to win? In other words, which is your favorite? You will read books to fit your favorite theme. How your books fit the theme is up to you. Is there a pirate on the cover? Is the MC a pirate? Is the word pirate in the text or title? If you can explain how the book fits the theme, it fits. You must be able to explain how it fits.

Now how do we determine the winner of the throwdown? At the end of the month, I will add up the number of books submitted for each theme. The theme with the most books submitted wins. Ask any questions in the thread below and I will answer them.

*Minimum 100 pages
*No graphic novels, poetry or cookbooks allowed
*Follow your own time zone. If you finish the book in November in your time zone, it counts.
*You must be able to justify how your book fits the theme. Example: If the theme is cats, then your book can have a cat on the cover, a cat in the book, can be all about cats, etc. If you can justify it, then it will work. Let's keep this easy and you may be creative with your links to the themes.

Q: Can I read for both sides?
A: Sure! If you want to.

Q: Can I creative in my links?
A: Yes, I love to see your creativity. This challenge is the time to show it.

Q: I don't read books outside a particular genre but I want to participate. Can I?
A: Definitely! That is the secret of this challenge. Even if you only read say romance novels, you can make this work. If the theme is hard, just find the letters in the title/ and or series. You can find some themes on the covers like cats.

I posted a book in the wiki today and it worked perfectly with no issues. Maybe the last time it was just glitchy. I will leave the other links active as a backup in case we need them.
