Why do you think there were cheques from James paid into Kirsten’s account?

I think she may have been extorting money from him.

I agree with Eadie. Though I couldn’t have guessed what hold she’d have over him.

It looks as if she was a blackmailer as well as being serially unfaithful to Peter.
