Ghost: The Halloween Boys
11/1/24
⭐⭐⭐⭐
How it relates to me: I love Halloween and this town is all about Halloween. They have a Hallows Fest that runs every night of October. Everyone in town says they are forbidden from attending (but really do attend) and the rules are that you must be completely unrecognizable in your costume each night (no real names are shared). I would absolutely love that! Yes, I know that something like that would be extremely expensive to run and a town wouldn't do that in reality but a girl can dream, right?

The Twin’s at St Clair’s by Enid Blyton
03/11/24 - 5★s
How it relates to me - When I was 9 I was sent to Boarding School in England (Piper’s Corner) as my parents were living in Africa at the time and there was no schooling available for me.
While St Clair’s is a fictional school - so many things are exactly the same - teachers living in, a matron, big girls requesting form 1 girls to do tasks, walking to a small village over fields, midnight feasts, sneaking away from the school for various bits of mischief, playing Lacrosse, end of year concerts and so much more!
This was my life for 3 years before we emigrated to Australia. So much of what I learned and experienced at Piper’s has stood me in good stead for the rest of my life.
