Do you think Bosch should have handled Powers better, or was he justified in speaking to him the way he did?

It seems like there is a lot animosity between beat cops and detectives. I’m not surprised Bosch was a bit nasty—he didn’t like the way Powers treated tge other members of his team. Yes, he could have handled it better. However he actually tried to include him in the investigation-until Powers got snippy.

I think that Bosch's attitude to Powers was coloured by the reluctance of his colleagues to talk to the guy. There's more than a hint that the cop is racist.

His attitude of self importance and inner demons would not allow him to react in any other way and Powers did not help with his BS complaints.

No point pussyfooting around. The cop got what he deserved.

I think Bosch was justified in his dealing with Powers. Bosch was a bit harsh but that’s his nature.

I thought he was stern, but that he wasn't deliberately mean. He even tried to give him some cover by not reporting him to Billets.

I agree with >7 Olivermagnus:. I didn't like Powers attitude. Harry was "generous" for lack of a better word. I think >3 Maura49: is right that Harry's reluctance was based on Power's attitude and the team's opinions. There's one on every force.

The cop was bitter, but he needed to curb his attitude. In this day and age, prejudice in any form is a no-no and won’t help his promotion prospects.
