What did you make of Aliso’s marriage? Why do you think his wife stayed with him?

Marriage in name only. They probably stayed together out of inertia. She had a comfortable home and easy access to the finances. He may have liked having a wife on his arm when needed.

Not a marriage and she stays because it gives her the life style she wants.

I agre with all of the other comments. With sexual relations having ceased and Aliso telling his wife that he had lost interest in her one can only assume that she has financial reasons for remaining in the marriage.

As long as Aliso is not violent towards her, I can see why she’d want to stay where she’s comfortably off. As John says, “It gives her the lifestyle she wants”.

Not much of a marriage as her husband is a gambler and philanderer. I think she stayed in the marriage for financial reasons.

I agree with you all. Also, he wasn't around much. If he was always home it might be a different story. She essentially had the house to herself and all the bills paid.

Nothing else to be said. Everyone said it well. It's not a marriage in tradition but it seems to be working for their wants and needs. To each his own.
