I'm not sure if I'm just not seeing the right options - but I'm trying to enter in a series of about 22 books and as far as I can tell there's no way to just link them all as, say, X series, book 3 of 22. I assumed it would be a separate entry the way it is on other book sites I've used but I don't see any entry fields that would make that possible. Am I supposed to list the entire series as one listing with "number of volumes" set to 22? If anyone has suggestions, I haven't really been able to find a definitive answer browing the site.

>1 reball1020: I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but you add books individually to a series. You can add from series page (searching for book to be added) or from work page (searching for series to be added to). If adding multiple books to the same series, I advise doing from series page.

Series information for a work is 'shared,' so to speak (by 'work' here, I mean a book/DVD/anything on LT, they are all called 'works,' and your particular 'version' of a work is called your 'book.' That's why I'm not saying book. I also notice you have a DVD in your collection, this is a 'work' and your copy, even though it's a DVD, is your 'book.').
Other information about a work, which you put in on the 'edit' page, is your own, and each library might have something different, including different languages or capitalisations for a title, or even a different author (for example, which one you choose to list as first in a work with multiple authors). Since everybody's information here is different, you can edit it all at once, and it only affects your 'version', or your book, for that work.
Series is different. When you put a work in a series, that affects everyone who has that work. Because of this, 'series' isn't part of the information on the 'edit' page. To add a work to a series, you have to pull up its 'main page.' The link to this shows up on the left side of the page after an edit, or, when you click on a book's title, it's the first page that shows. From here, when you scroll down towards the bottom, you will find a beige block that says 'series and work relationships.' Under this, you will have to click 'add/edit,' and either add the work to a series that already exists, or make a new series if that series doesn't exist yet.
You can also find the series by searching for it or clicking the series title on a book that is in the series, and then clicking 'add book' on the series page.

>1 reball1020: To see if your books are already listed as part of the series, to add them if they’re not, or to see everything that’s listed for that series, bring up the page for one of the books and scroll down until you see the section “Series and work relationships”:

The series name will show up if it’s already listed as part of the series, and you can click the series name to bring up the series page:

If your book isn’t listed as part of the series, you can add it to the series from either the book page or the series page.
