Did you think Bosch should have reported Carbone? Given he didn’t, did you think Carbone had to work with Bosch? Did he have any other options?

If Bosch reported him he would lose the opportunity to find out what Carbone is up to. Carbone is more useful with his illegal activity hanging over head.

Yes Bosch should have reported Carbone but he didn’t as he wanted to find out what Carbone was up to.

I agree with all of the above. bosch is a canny operator and if it is more helpful to not play it by the book that's what he will do.

He can report him later after he's no longer "useful".

He has a better chance of getting the information he needs if he doesn’t report Carbone. Bosch’s primary interest is solving the case

I don't think he should have reported Carbone. It's hard to get cooperation when there's no upside for the person you want information from.

Bosch just doesn’t strike me as the whistleblowing type, (unless it suits him).
