Did Bosch do the right thing in going to rescue Eleanor without involving the police? Was he now in danger from Joey Marks?

Right or wrong Bosch was driven by his feelings for her. Police involvement could cause issues for Eleanor. Bosch needed to rescue her and get her safely out of Vegas.

I can’t see Bosch using the police to find Eleanor. He is in danger from Marks.

Bosch is doing what we should all expect from him. He's always been a "lone wolf" doing whatever he thinks without really thinking it through.

Crazy! If Marks wants her dead, he’ll arrange for it no matter where she goes.

I don't see how he could have convinced the police to help him so he made the right choice.

bosch knows that speed is essential if he is to rescue Elinor and he can't spare the time to try and get police co-operation.

Bosch can’t trust the locals. Marks is bound to have at least one inside source.
Marks will not like that Bosch has got the better of him. Bosch will have to watch his back.
