Why do you think Bosch told Veronica that Aliso had been carrying more than a million dollars? Did she give herself away when talking to him? At this stage does she feel guilty of the murder?

To set up a sting operation. He suspected her and knew she would act if more money could be had.

He knew she would try to recover the suit bag.

Veronica and friend got over $48k when they killed Aliso. Bosch told her there was $1.76 million on Aliso, that’s well over a million that they ‘discarded’ somehow - and well worth going back to find…
Bosch has baited the trap, now just has to wait for it to be sprung. (I worried that he was over-egging it by loading an extra $76k to the million he first mentioned, 😅.)
In her answers to Bosch’s questions and comments, Veronica certainly did give herself away. I think we have the killer(s) bang to rights.
