What did you initially think Veronica was trying to say when she died? Any thoughts?

She was trying to say, "Let my daughter go."

She wanted her daughter not to be punished or pursued.

Yes worried about her daughter and wanted her protected, although not easy to make out the exact words.

Couldn’t make out her first mumblings; and then the reference to the daughter made me think the gang members were holding her hostage. Didn’t remember ever knowing Veronica had a daughter.
