2025 Shortlist

I’ve read 3 of the books, which is probably the most I’ve already read before the Tournament starts.

Just had the chance to create the list that we can all use to rank our favorites.

Looking forward to hearing everyone's favorites! James is mine and I have to think that's the favorite to win it, although I loved The History of Sound. I'm in the middle of The Book of Love right now and enjoying it. Not sure if I'm that excited about any of the ones I haven't gotten to yet, but I will try to at least begin every book on the shortlist. I'm halfway there!

My money’s also on James to win, and it’s also my favorite (so far). I’ve read 6 of the shortlist so far and may try to fit another one or two in before the ToB, but there are some that I’ll probably just take a pass on.

Really appreciate you doing this every year!

Someone Like Us came out of nowhere and really impressed me. Probably my lost cause of this tournament.

I'm glad I have another to look forward to. #7 on my own list is one I had not heard of before the tournament and was happy to fall in love with - Headshot. And although I had heard of Beautyland before the shortlist came out, I didn't expect to fall for the main character the way I did. Currently ranked #4 for me.
