What was it about the suicide scene that was ‘tugging Stacey’s mind toward somewhere she didn’t want to go’? Any initial thoughts what this could be?

I think Stacey could have experienced a suicide of someone she was close to in her past.

To me it sounds like Stacey attempted suicide herself.

I have to admit that I quite often need an author to spell things out. I lack imagination, and sometimes being left guessing can be frustrating.

She may have tried it herself or had a close friend or family member commit suicide.
