Any other thoughts, comments or questions on the second section?

John and I agree that the book is slow moving and too busy with plots and we are not enjoying it very much.

There’s quite a complex plot on this one, with various threads. I am enjoying the book and I look forward to seeing how all these various elements come together. It is always uncomfortable reading when racism is a key theme, I just can’t relate to people that have these racist views. To use the French phrase ‘vive la difference’.

I enjoyed the last section more than the first, so I'm optimistic that section 3 will start bringing some sense to it all.

>4 Olivermagnus: That’s often the way as the various threads start to link together and it builds up some pace.

I am enjoying this book although looking forward to seeing more linkages as we get further into it. I agree that the racism theme makes for uncomfortable reading particularly when the hatred spews out of the mouth of Gary Flint.
