Any thoughts on Justin’s laptop being taken? Do you think it was random or do you feel there was more to it than that? Will Stacey be in trouble for this?

It’s my opinion that she probably deserves to be in trouble. Firstly, she shouldn’t have taken possession of the laptop (or be carrying it around with her) without permission from her bosses, and secondly, she’s been negligent in her handling of it: it should not have been visible in her handbag and so easily snatched.
At this point in time, I’m guessing that this was a random theft, how would anyone know she’d be on that particular bus (the man beside her got on at the following bus stop) and have the laptop with her?
I’m ready to be proved wrong, however.

Stacy has been consumed with Justin’s suicide so she should be in trouble. She’s been doing an unsanctioned investigation on her own. We believe it was done on purpose and she has become a target for the racists.

I'm less convinced that this was a random theft but willing to be proved wrong. Is she being followed? Or am I just paranoid? She is certainly behaving in a very unprofessional manner which may cause her trouble with her superiors.

She should have checked the laptop into evidence, of course. I think she originally wanted to prove she could be part of the investigation, but she went about it the wrong way. I feel like it was a random theft because I seems like the person just wanted to draw her out when she tried to retrieve it.
