Why did you think Fiona was being hunted?

I presumed that, for some reason, she’d fallen foul of the Preeces.

She had done or said something that put her in danger.

The Cowley family represent most danger to the Preeces. They live rent free in return for their silence. Fiona may know most about their practices and is perhaps considered to be no longer safe with their secrets.

She was being hunted because she had too much knowledge about the racists and she knew who Floda was and their past history.
