Now that I am no longer teaching, I have decided to keep track of books from year to year instead of each school year!

Here is what I was reading at the end of 2024:

Recently Read:

Unicornado, Dana Simpson
The Sun and the Star, Rick Riordan
A Court of Silver Flames, Sarah J. Mass

Currently Reading:

Cinder, Marissa Meyer (reread) (audiobook)
The Sherlock Society, James Point

Thanks! Happy New Year to you, too! I thought about changing over to the 75 book challenge, but I think I will be reading less since I left the library. I liked it there, I just didn't want to work two jobs anymore. There is no way I would stop working at Nub's! :)

How to Solve Your Own Murder was a fun English countryside mystery. I liked The Final Gambit. It did such a good job wrapping up the trilogy, I don't think I will continue the series. Onyx Storm is another great book in its series.

I loved The Love Hypothesis and am excited to find this new author! The Last Bookstore on Earth was an interesting post-apolcolyptic young adult novel. I listened to a reread of Cinder. I couldn't get into Black Woods, Blue Sky until I realized the conflict was supernatural and not psychological. Then I couldn't put it down!

Reread All Systems Red after watching the first few episodes of Murderbot. I am trying to resist the rest until the series is over. Great Big Beautiful Life is another great Emily Henry book. This one kind of had two stories in one. It took me awhile to get into Rules of Civility, but I then really liked it. The Honey Bus is a a wonderful memoir.

The Maid's Secret is another cute addition to the series. Love on the Brain was a lot of fun! Sunrise on the Reaping is very similar to The Hunger Games but it was great reading Haymitch's story. I listened to Renegades and I still wonder why this series didn't get more recognition.

It took awhile, but I made it through the illustrated Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Great new reads: Jane and Dan at the End of the World and Frozen River!
