Fiasco

And, frighteningly, the perpetrators who planned this crime are still at large.

Thunderstruck was great, but I was pleasantly suprised how good A Death in Belmont by Sebastian Junger turned out.

The best one I read in 2006 was Fire Lover by Joseph Wamaugh. It was no Ann Rule, but once again truth is stanger than fiction.

Within a year, but actually in 2006--Evil Eyes.

I'm currently on Heart Full of Lies by Ann Rule, it's about a woman who admits of shooting her husband but claims self defense, got about 95 pages left to find out the verdict-she's a nut job I think. Recently finished Anyone you want me to be by John Douglas

I re-read Dying to Get Married by Ellen Francis Harris. Also Della's Web by Aphrodite Jones. It wasn't the writing per se, but the story(in both cases, actually). I had to get rid of these books, becasue I was getting obsessed with them. And Della's Web I had picked up because the killer had the same name as me. Both deal with spousal muder.

Defending a Monster by Sam Amiranti. A fascinating and chilling account of the crimes committed by John Wayne Gacy- written by the man who defended him.
