It's a great set-up, and brings together many different areas - Armi Christi, Polish history (had no idea it was wiped off the map of Europe for a time!), and Bruges. The White Lady sounds delish!

I recently "got into" the Maisie Dobbs series, and while I would love to read them all in one sitting, they are as rich as The White Lady is described. Besides, once I finish them, the series will be over (tho some could argue I can go back and re-read them!).
