How do you explain events between the Presidents of the U.S. and Poland? Did you think they had given up on placing the missiles? Or do you think they were playing a game? Why?

It was obvious the US president is determined to place the missiles in Poland. I think Janusz is so busy trying to keep his reputation clean, that he figures he'll work out the other situation later.

It's still early days in this book so my theories are bound to fall apart any time now.
