Any thoughts as to what the Iranians had to lose from the missiles being located in Poland? Why were they so involved? Do you feel any countries were missing from the auction?

The British and Germans were invited and the British declined. Reinhardt stole the price of admission for the Germans so they couldn't attend. I imagine they would both be concerned if missiles in Poland led to Russian hostilities.

The Iranians are allies of Russia and are only 2300 miles away. I would imagine any trouble in Russia could affect them.

If I lived that close, I would sure want to know...so they would also.

Interesting that the British declined. Some of our politicians seem to think that not being in the EU means that we are not in Europe any more and become very inactive in European initiatives.

I believe that the Russians and the Iranians had the most to lose from missiles in Poland as they were enemies of Poland. They had no scruples and were capable of almost anything.

Iranians and Russians are not friends with America, and American missiles in Poland would be a problem.

>2 Olivermagnus: Perfectly stated. I had not realized they were "only" 2300 miles away. And i also think it was a mistake for Britain and Germany not to be there.
