Did Ivan and the others do the right thing in splitting up? If you had been Cotton who would you have followed and why?

I would have followed whoever had the documents so I guess that would be Ivan.

It seemed to make sense to split up, there was a 50-50 chance Cotton could have gone after the others. It was just Ivan’s misfortune that Cotton saw him in the boat, and surmised he’d have the documents.
I’d have done what Cotton did. Ivan was unlikely to leave the documents with Reinhardt.

Ivan was always likely to have the documents so made sense to follow him.
