How did you think things would resolve themselves when both Cotton and Ivan were in the boats and had confronted each other?

I had no idea but knew Cotton would come out on top.

Ivan would not survive

I thought Ivan would end up dead.

Ivan would inevitably be the loser.

There's several more books in the series and thit hasn't been changed to "The Ivan" series...so I figured Ivan would be dead and Cotton would ride off with the documents into the sunset. Oh...That's John Wayne, not Cotton. Wrong sunset.

It could only work out as it did. As Carol says, there are more books in the series.
