I'm also a 4 Star. Thanks Andrew and everyone who joined in.

Also, I listened to the audio, which was great. Scott Brick did a great job with the Polish Names. I checked out a copy at the library to follow along and Sonia was named Ivona Novak and Hacia was Father Orlik. I went to my other library and the names were Sonia and Hacia. They were the same in the audio so I must have found some sort of Rogue copy. Weird........

Given the sometimes confusing plot I will also award the book a 4.

I gave it a 4. >5 Maura49: is right, the plot was sometimes confusing...but I've always liked Cotton...so 4 stars. I don't think this is going to tax the brain too much of this "non-math person" when figuring the overall average:)

>4 Olivermagnus: Did you hear eerie music while reading? Sounds like the ghost were at work. I got a book from the library one time that half the book was an entirely different story than the rest of the book. The library contacted the seller they used, and they contacted someone, somewhere and after a lot of contacting, they all thought that there were probably more books out there somewhere with that oddity. I wondered how many people just kept reading and never noticed anything was wrong:) I don't recall them ever figuring out what had happened.

I’m in for 4★s, too. Salt mines - unusual backdrop for a showdown…

Thanks to all concerned, ☺️.

Far be it from me to break a pattern, it’s a four star read for me too. It was a good read but just felt it was missing something compared to the best ones in the series.

Thanks to everyone for their involvement in the group read. 👏👏👏

Yes - 4 star read for me as well. Loved the backdrop of Poland, though a bit disappointed with the never-ending chase thru the salt mines. Wish there could have been more of a search for the documents, then a shortened chase. And I'll definitely have to visit Bruges!

Well that makes an easy average Carol, not often we give a unanimous score. >8 Carol420:
