Clean Westerns and/or Historical Fiction

I have an older gentlemen I help get books for, but he doesn't want anything that has too much profanity, sex, or other graphic or suggestive content.

Authors he likes: Max Brand, Zane Grey, Luke Short, Louis L'Amour

Has not liked: John Nesbitt, Craig Johnson, Ralph Cotton, Marcus Galloway

He obviously likes westerns but I think any historical fiction would work too. I'm going to try to send him some Christian Historical fiction, like Jane Kirkpatrick and Jennifer Chiaverini.

The older westerns are more likely to meet your criteria (as evident from the split in your lists) -- though as always people have different tolerances. Here are a few additional suggestions for "old school" western writers.

Willa Cather
Owen Wister
Walter Van Tilburg Clark
Charles Portis
Ernest Haycox
Wayne D. Overholser
Lewis Patten
L.P. Holmes
Clarence E. Mulford
Bradford Scott
B. M. Bower
Elmer Kelton
Elmore Leonard

Another good place to start is the Western Writers of America list of the Best Westerns of the 20th Century: http://www.westernwriters.org/best_westerns.htm (may be dead link)

I write clean westerns. There's really no point to putting smut in westerns. Check out my selection of novels.
