I had a copy of this edition. The title has always stayed with me and I can't remember one thing about the story.

This is a truly terrible cover for a very colorful book in a fantasy series set in many parallel worlds with politics that make the Borgias look like toddlers.

I haven't re-read it this century, but I did read the whole series a couple times and enjoyed it a lot. They're lush and have specific details, unlike this dull blobby thing.

Something up there in that tower has shocked the horse so very, very much....

I just recently picked this up: I'm fond of Zelazny, but I've never read the Amber series. It's a promising start.
